Halloween

Everyone always posts only their good pictures. Here is all of the pictures.

Family Update

Reagan is becoming such a big boy.  He loves going to school and learning new things.

He loves it when I make him pancakes before school.  He won't eat plain circle pancakes.  Usually I just make a weird design and he is creative enough to tell me what I made.  He has been requesting his name for awhile now so I finally did it for him.

Benson thinks he is ready to potty train.  I am not too sure.  he is constantly taking his diaper off.  His favorite thing to do is to take it off and pee all over the top of the toilet.  He dug through the clothes boxes in his room and found some Elmo underpants to wear.  He uses the toilet several times a day.  Only problem is he accidentally  fell in the other day.  Of course he thought it was funny so he does it every time now.  The other problem is when he gets a stinky diaper he thinks he can take care of it himself.  He doesn't do the best job at this and leaves me a huge mess to clean up.

max turns 1

Max turned 1 on Tuesday, the day after Halloween!  He is such a fun little boy.  I have to say that so far I have loved having a little boy and I notice the differences in temperment and personality already.  Max can walk real well now. He says mama, dada and ball. He can bark like a dog,( sounds kinda like ruh ruh). He is definetly more serious than my girls ever were.  It can be hard for some people get him to smile, but he always has a smile for his mama. He loves both of his sisters but lately has shown a little more prefrence to Lauren.  They play real well together. Max loves to give his mom and dad hugs and kisses. I feel so blessed to have this little boy in my life.  He brightens our day with his sweet smile and tender heart.

October Happenings

We had so much fun in October.  Here are some things we did to celebrate the fall season.

For the first time as a family we went Apple picking. It was lots of fun. The place we went was specialized in Organic apples so they did have lots of worm holes but the kids didnt mind.  They had such  a fun time. We spent the next 2 days making crock pot apple sauce which was so tasty. Hopefully this will be a tradition we can continue each fall.

Then we went to the pumpkin patch.  The kids had fun riding the horses, going to the petting zoo and feeding the animals, and riding the barrels pulled by the tractor. They also had an area filled with corn and the kids really enjoyed that. Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids afterwards and let us go back and do the corn maze.  It was fun and lasting memories were made.

When October began Claire wasted no time decorating the house.  She has become quite the artist. We painted pumpkins on paper to decorated the entry way, and colored pictures from albertsons and even traced her hands and taped them on the walls(very spooky). The girls painted their little baby pumpkins and helped pick out the designs for the big pumpkins.  Lauren chose winnie the poo, and Claire chose Snow White. My favorite decoration was the drawing of a monster named BOO that claire drew with a pen and taped to the front door.

Here's what we dressed up as this year...

We had an awesome time at Grandma and Grandpas annual halloween party. It was epic.

The kids had so much fun Trick or Treating.  Although it was a cold night, the thought of eating loads of candy kept them going strong.

THE END!

Halloween Party

Saturday was our Family Halloween party. We had lots of fun games with most valuable prizes. Lauren won the counting jar full of candy corn because when I asked her for a number she said, "1-2-3" and that was the closest. Super monkey looks happy and ready for the fun to begin.
Get ready this is going to be a long post!

Ian ready for fun. He started out as mummy skelaton but that only lasted a couple of minutes.

Mason was a contender for best costume.

Raggedy Ann made a very sweet appearance.

The prettiest good witch ever.

Jill was pretty stylin' and was quite proud of her "big hair"

We aren't suppose to look so matchy. But I have my lovely poodle skirt attire & Ben just didn't quite get the lunch lady look right.

Max's very first Halloween.

Lauren being pretty as a peacock.

Cory as "iron man".

For dinner everyone had to choose a bag which contained one utinsel which was all they could use to eat their dinner with. John did well with a big spatula but Jill was a bit concerned about eating Lasagna with a plastic muffin holder.

Claire was a very good sport and ate all of her food with a pair of tongs. She even went as far as to eat her french bread with her fingers. Lauren didn't quite get why she should eat with a bat cookie cutter and just used her fingers along with Mason and Blake.

Eating the donut off the string.

The pumpin relay. Each team member got a small plastic baby spoon and the object was the run the circle through the den/kitchen/living room without dropping the pumpkin off your spoon. The last person had to eat the pumpkin. Super monkey is all ready to challenge Raggedy Ann.

The final pass off. Be sure to notice Jill's skinny leather pants.

The marshmellow eating contest. Blake put 1 in his mouth. Ian had about five.

Cory was the all time winner with 13 marshmellows in his mouth.

This is the jello slurping contest. Everyone agreed that green jello is not all that yummy. Just ask Mason, he threw up!

Carving pumpkins.

Everyone had a spooky time! We missed the rest of you and wished you were here!!!
