Lauren

For some reason Lauren thinks this is so much fun. I think she likes the attention she gets or something. Not so cool when a few days later she tried to do it on the asphalt. Lucky for her, her Dad caught her before she got injured. Here is a short clip of it. -ANd yes she is doing this on purpose.

Elmo love

I love my girls so much! It is so sweet to see the love they show each other. It can be the simplest things. Lauren LOVES Elmo. One morning Claire asked if she could color a picture. Afterwards, she came up to me and showed me what she drew. She said she drew a picture of Elmo for Lauren. Then she made us hang it in Lo's room so that Lauren could look at it all the time. Claire is so sweet and I love her for these random acts of kindness that she shows her sister.

The prettiest picture

My neighbors have been telling me how pretty my flowers are. But they look much better when this is in front of them!

Blake got a special Day

Blake got to have a "Special Day" with grandma yesterday. At first he wasn't sure if he wanted to go or not because there was a really good cartoon on. But he was happy when he got to the park.

We couldn't stay too long because it was so hot!

Afterwards we went to Build a Bear. Blake said he didn't want to build a bear he only wanted to build a money. Luckily they had a monkey.

He liked choosing the heart only he thought going through the whole ritual of "touch your nose with the heart" was dumb. He was smart enough to know that the heart went in the monkey not on your nose.

Filling up the monkey with fluff was pretty exciting.

Every new monkey needs a bath.

Blake with BOO BOO the monkey. Now for what Blake really wanted to do on his special day. The only idea he could come up with was ...................................

Finally a real doctor

After many years or hard work, some not so hard work, and a few extra weeks while waiting for my license, I finally had my first day of work as a real doctor today.

It's a good thing that I am a real doctor because this is what Jonah has learned to do.

This is his funny face.

This is his cute face.

This is us swimming in the mountains. Kinda wimpy mountains.

Look- alikes

So what do you think? Is she mine? Does she look like me at all? I don't know.... some say that she is a mini Ashleigh, and in this picture I can definitely see it. What do think?

Then again, Lauren looks a little like Cory in some pictures.

I don't think I have ever seen a parent child look more a like than Claire and Cory. They could be twins!! Check them out as babies.... can you tell they are related?

Here is a current picture of Claire, and one of Cory around the same age. Look how cute Cory was. In these pictures you can really tell how much they look like each other. They have the same chin, nose, and smile!

As she gets older she is starting to look more like me, although she will always be a spitting image of her dad.

It is so fun to see what each child looks like. I am so glad that one of our kids looks like me and one looks like Cory. It's so much funner that way. I really hope our boy comes out looking like Cory because he was the cutest little kid ever!!

Here's one more picture comparison....... just for laughs!

Camping

We had a great time camping this week. We missed all of you and wish you had been there!

One more Race

Here are some pictures from the Fourth of July fun run in Melba. Everyone but April got a ribbon. However, she did run very fast and she said she would have been faster but when everyone else started she realized that she forgot to tie her shoes. John got second in his age group in the six mile race. Abe got FIRST in the two mile race. Ian got second in the under 10 year old category and was very happy to get a ribbon. Both Ian and John got prizes in the raffle afterwards also. There was a man running right behind Ian and Ian was running his fastest not to get passed up right at the end. The fellow was very nice and let Ian come in before him.
