Big Fish

In July I went backpacking with my dad. We went up to a couple of mountain lakes above McCall. I caught this whale trout in the lake behind me. Not to bad if I say so myself.

Ashleigh and I went to San Diego last week. It was a lot of fun. Mom and Jill watched the kids while we were gone, which was very nice. It was the first time we have Claire and Lauren.

I checked, the flowers smell the same there as they do here.
We got to San Diego a little bit before check in at the hotel so we decided to get lunch. We went to Old towne. E added for emphasis. It's like Tia Juana, but in America....only you can't buy illegal prescription drugs and you don't get stabbed.
This picture is Ashleigh eating at a cool authentic mexican restuarant.

She really liked it.

You can't tell, but behind me is the coin operated machine that turned boy Tom Hanks into a man in that one movie. As you can see, I tried squating but I guess I was a litte too Big for the picture.

We staying in the Holiday Inn Bayside. We got a pretty good deal on priceline. This pirate ship was right outside our window. According the plaque on it, it the olding ship of it's kind that still floats.

Apart from the sun burns we had a lot of fun on the beaches.

Ashleigh and I would go out real deep and play on the waves. It was extra fun because we brought our goggles. I saw some fish. Fun but scary.
Oh yeah, I got attacked by some thing we I was out there.

After we went swimming, we stopped by a yougurt shop. It was the kind where you pay by the ounce. The give you a big tub. I filled mine up about half way. Ashleigh didn't realize, so she filled her tub over the rim. And to make sure she'd get her moneys worth, she packed in extra tight to make sure there wasin't any air holes. The picture doesn't do justice because we'd widdled it down quite a bit before we took a picture of her $7 yougurt.

We went to my friend Ron's wedding and reception. It was fun. They were very happy and make a great couple. You can't see him in the picture, but i think that might be his sister's head over the shoulder of the guy over my shoulder.

Then we meet up with my other friend Jarold. We went to Huntington Beach. It was great to see him. People might move, but Creekers never move on.

It was a great 5 year anniversary trip. I'm as in love as I've ever been.
In the end we were happy to get home and see the kids.

New Years Resolution

I don't very often make a New Years Resolution but this year I did. I made the goal to be caught up on my scrap booking when the baby comes. I was doing pretty good before I made it a goal. I think I have only worked on my scrap book once or twice since I made it a goal. I am now at the point in my pregnancy where Reagan was born. My goal has not been achieved yet. I guess this means I better get to work. This afternoon while Reagan was taking his nap I was able to get quite a bit scrapped. Unfortunately I worked until the second Reagan woke up. When he woke up he saw what I was doing. He was so excited. He said "Mommy I help you!" He was very determined that he was going to help. I didn't really want his help but he wouldn't get away from me. I eventually allowed him to help me glue. He is very proud of his work.

** I just noticed as I looked closely at that top picture that Reagan had an accident.

Baseball

A child is never too young to learn how to play baseball. This is why Abram has started coaching Reagan so he can be a baseball star.

Swimming

Reagan went to Walgreens with me the other day. While we were there Reagan convinced me that he needed a swimming pool. We have set a record here for number of days in a row above 100. I think it has been this hot for a month now. The humidity makes it feel a lot hotter than 100. Abram says he has never heard me complain more about the heat then he has the past month. I am really sick of it and can't wait for it to cool off a little. So it wasn't really that difficult for Reagan to convince me that he needed a swimming pool. If he wants to swim he has to do it around 10 am before it gets too hot. The pool makes him happy because it is one of the few ways he gets to go outside to play.

Jonah's first hike

It was really hot today so we decided to go for a hike in the mountains. I was overambitious and picked a route that was over 2 miles each way and climbed about 1500 feet.

The lake was really just a big gross puddle with no inlet or outlet, but Jonah still wanted to swim.

Jonah got a little dirty. He liked to walk, but tripped over lots of little rocks.

Jonah got pretty tired.

Money

After I sold my car I was rich for a while, but then Jonah robbed me.

Summer is going fast

Here's what I have done with my summer so far.

Water plants.

Water more and more plants.

Play with our grandkids. (that is more fun than watering)

Went to Build a Bear with Reagan.

Notice how Reagan has on two different outfits. Something else got wet while the bear was having a bath!

I got my very first ever pedicure. Claire was so jealous. I had to do her toes also but they didn't turn out so good. Luckily, she is easy to please.

I watched a race on the 4th of July.

Lots of runners, but someone had to watch the little guys.

Helped to teach Jonah how fun the "great outdoors" is.

Had lots of fun getting reaquainted with Jonah.

Family Pictures

Okay, here are a couple of the family pictures that Mindy took while she was here. I wanted a nice picture since Ian will be baptised soon, so we got all dressed up and headded over to Albertson's park and took some pictures. It was fun, and stresfull. The boys were not cooperating very well, especially Blake. He was a terrible. Luckily she still got some okay pictures.

Favorite Pictures

These are some of my favorite pictures that Mindy took and then eddited. I love what she did. I will have to find a great place in my house to place them.

we have a crawler on our hands

Lauren started using her little toes to get around when she was 8 1/2 months old.

A week after that, she figured out how to get on her hands and knees.
A week after that she was pulling herself up on furniture and standing for short periods of time.

So in a two week period, my sweet little baby went from just sitting there, to crawling everywhere and even standing. This is just too much for me. It makes me so sad that she is growing up. What happend to my baby and when did this happen? She is so good at crawling she can even do it on the slip n slide. Now that takes skill.

One funny thing that she does is she likes to crawl with one knee and use her other foot to walk with. Hard to explain. I will have to add a video or something. She also likes the bear crawl.

Can I just go back to this exact moment in time?
