A Good Brother

Benson has been sleeping in a little too long in the morning for Reagan. The other morning I couldn't find Reagan. When I finally found him, both boys were laying in the crib laughing. Reagan told me he had to wake Benson because the sun was up and Benson wouldn't get up.

Our First Texas Snow

When we woke up this morning we were surprised to see snow falling from the sky. It isn't supposed to snow in Texas. Reagan was a little worried there wasn't going to be enough for him to play in. After waiting a few hours there was finally enough snow to play in. We actually got quite a bit. Fort Hood was closed today. They let students leave school if they had a car or a ride. Abe was able to leave around 2:30. They will have a late start day tomorrow. Reagan and I had lots of fun playing in the snow. I posted some pictures. Sorry they aren't in the right order.

Reagan and his snowman.

Hopefully winter is almost over. Reagan's coats a little small.

Reagan actually helped roll the snowman.

He made a few snow angel in the process. He didn't realize how cold it would be.

Look at that big snow ball Reagan rolled.

Reagan and Benson in the first Texas snow.

The snowman didn't survive very long. Not because it melted but because Reagan's mom didn't stack it very well. It fell over about an hour after I took the pictures.

East Coast Blizzard

I am enjoying my first blizzard here in Virginia. I have never seen this much snow falling. EVER. I have been on mountains while snowboarding, but that's different and doesn't count. Yesterday it was snowing all day but wasn't sticking on the road. We were thinking about heading to New York City early, to beat the storm, but my dad had a bad feeling about it because he said we would be heading straight to the heart of the storm. Last night it started sticking and getting pretty bad. Me, my sister Tiffany and her husband, drove out in the storm to help pull people out if they were stuck. They really enjoy doing that kind of stuff. (Kyle thinks he is a very good driver in the snow) I was sweating bullets!! We didn't find anyone out there, so i guess we were the only idiots out on the road that night. This morning this is what I woke up to. So much snow! About 2 feet so far. If you look at the dog in one of the pictures the snow is covering it's legs. It is a pretty big yellow lab and that isn't even the deepest part. That is on the road where cars had been driving on the night before.
It will be snowing all day today and end around 8pm tonight. We left around 2pm to head to New York. We got stuck twice on the way out of the neighborhood, but someone came to the rescue!!! LOL. (yes, it was the show off Kyle) I was a little nervous, and thought that today would possibly be the day I die, but guess what? I made it! I am here in New York City! I love this place. Tomorrow we get to go to the Broadway musical WICKED. I am excited. I am having so much fun. I went to the capitol and the white house, but I don't have pictures on me right now so I will post later.

Comparing

I know it is not nice to compare your children but I like to take pictures of Benson in outfits Reagan wore and compare the pictures. I think it is fun to see the similarities and the differences.

Benson's photos:

Reagan's photo's

*** When comparing the photos it might help to know that Benson is 51/2 months in his photos and Reagan is 1 year old. Actually he is a day a way from being one.

Benson's trying to Crawl

Benson really wants to learn to crawl. He hasn't figured out how to make himself move but he is really trying.
