March Madness

John leads the entire group and Dallen is the only person that can beat him. Dallen can win if Connecticut can win it all. Who will win it??

Mason's New Glasses

Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Mason is now the proud wearer of glasses. As soon as he put his glasses on the first time, he commented that he can actually see things clearly. He is most happy that he can read the clock.

They dont call it the Luck of the Irish for nothin...

...because it took some serious luck to get out of this trap.

Last night, me and the kids decided to try and capture a Leprechaun on St. Patricks Day. We worked hard. We lured him in with a rainbow ,( finger painted by Lauren and mom) A pot of gold, some clovers( created by Claire) and even tried to trick him by adding a picture of a fellow leprechaun.

We had our 3 wishes ready this morning in hopes that we caught that tricky little green dude... but he somehow managed to escape. He left footprints everywhere, knocked over all the chairs in the kitchen, turned the toilet water green and also turned the milk green! I guess we deserved it after trying to capture him. If Lauren had gotten a hold of him, he would probrably have a few broken limbs by now.

I guess he decided to be a little nice because he left a few hints on printed shamrocks, and they had to find them in order with the color of the rainbow. They really liked the treasure!

Afterwards, I told them how if they aren't wearing green, then I get to pinch them. Claire LOVED that part. And after the pinching wars, we finally sat down and ate breakfast. Green pancakes! Tonight when Cory gets home, he will get lucky because he gets to drink root beer floats with us. The leprechaun left us some of that too! Yay for St. Patties Day!

They grow up too fast

Lines Family Update

I have been meaning to post for awhile now but I never get to it. So I thought that I would do a family update also. To start out we have really been enjoying the Spring weather the last couple weeks. The boys love being outside. As soon as Benson gets out of bed he runs to the back door and says "side" several times in hopes that I will let him outside. I enjoy having the boys play outside it gives me a little fewer messes to clean up.

I learned also learned that letting Benson feed himself jello salad may not be the cleanest decision. At least it made him happy and I was smart enough to take his shirt off.

Benson was an official nursery boy last Sunday. He wasn't as happy about it as he looks in these pictures. Abe stayed in the nursery room for the first half but then had to leave for a meeting. Once Abe left he only lasted about 10 minutes before he was crying so hysterically they had to come find us.
Reagan wanted to have his picture taken with Benson.

He then requested some photos of only him. He is enjoying going to primary. He was sick this Sunday and had to stay home. He bawled because we wouldn't let him go to his class. Benson was happy he didn't have to go to his.

Benson talking

Benson is a very verbal child. He loves talking. I tried counting the other day how many words he knows and finally decided it was easier to say he has at least 100 words. His favorite word to say right now is baby. He loves babies and gets so excited when he sees one. He definitely know what a baby is. He also likes the sound of the word. He will randomly say the word. If he comes across something he doesn't know the word for he just calls it baby. Benson wants to make sure he is talking at all times. This week Benson started speaking his own language. When he doesn't really have anything to say but wants to make sure he is still speaking he starts talking in this other language. He can go on in this other language for several minutes.

Mason's First Wrestling Tournament

Mason had his first real wrestling tournament yesterday. They put the kids into "pods" of 4 kids about the same weight (Mason weighed 64.9 pounds), and each kid got to wrestle the other 3 kids in the pod. Mason won his first match, got his butt kicked the second match by a coach's kid, and then won his third match, so he got a really cool second place medal. He has been wearing his medal almost non-stop for the past 24 hours.
