Potty training

Jonah is trying to get potty trained. We figured it was time when he started taking off his pants and using the bathroom on his own . He's still not very good at it. Last night he discovered that you cannot dance in the puddle when you pee on the floor. He now has a big goose egg on the back of his head.

Jonah also got to go to the ER twice on Sunday. He had a terrible rash over his whole body. It got worse later in the day so we went back a second time. The second time I decided that we were not going to wait in the waiting room so I managed to get the Dr to let us go back and be seen without checking in or waiting our turn. In and out in about 10 minutes. The people who were waiting for hours gave us dirty looks as we left.

Mason is a Wrestler

Mason decided that he is going to wrestle this year instead of playing soccer. It has been hard finding a good club for him. First I took him to one practice at the Idaho Express Club at Centennial High School, but Mason was about 4 inches taller than any other kid there. So then I took him to a practice at a new club at Meridian high school, but they only had 5 kids at the first practice (now they have four). Then I took him to 2 practices at Borah. The problem with Borah is that practices start at 5:15, so I have to leave work pretty early to get him there. He found a good kid to wrestle that was his size, but at the second practice that kid tripped and broke his big toe in three places (It was pretty rad . . . his toe was pointing the wrong direction. His dad and I thought maybe it was dislocated, so we tried to pop it back in. It got a little straighter, but not much. Hopefully we didn't damage it more than it already was). Then finally tonight I found out that a buddy of mine at work put his kid in a club at Timberline High School. It has several kids Mason's size, so I think we finally found a good club for him.

Dating

Its a good thing the church tells us not to date until were 16. Last night a young women in the ward asked me if she could take Reagan to a baseball game today. Reagan was so excited. She was supposed to be here at 11:30 to pick him up. At 11:00 Reagan couldn't stand waiting any longer. I had to take a stinky diaper out to the trash and Reagan followed me outside. He did not want to come in. He told me he would just sit on the porch and wait for Kelsi to come get him. I was mean and made him come in and wait. So he sat at the front window and watched for her. Which was a really long wait since she gave me a call while he was waiting letting me know she was still at her Honor Society service project and was running late.
When Kelsi finally rang our doorbell Reagan ran off and hid. I had to go find him so that they could leave. When he went out to the car he started running circles around it. He seriously ran around her car at least 15 times before he got in. I'm guessing he thought he needed to impress her since she did pick him up in her BMW.
All I have to say is it is a good thing Reagan still has 12 more years to mature before he is old enough to date. He was definitely acting dorkier today then I have ever seen him act.

Ultrasound Results

We went in for an ultrasound today. They were nice enough to give me a CD with 2D and 3D pictures on it. I had planned on coming home and posting some pictures for everyone. unfortunately when I got home and put the CD in it was blank. I called the office and they said they would send me a new one. When I get it I will post some pictures. Until then I will just let you know that we will be having a little girl.

It's too late to apologize

I need to apologize to Ashleigh for a few thing. Including the following:

Not always give you your space.
My cooking is not always up to par....

And you usually eat it anyways
Making you cut my hair

Dressing the kids. My fashion sense my not be what it's suppose to be. And because of that I sometimes try to copy your style (see two Halloween pictures below)

9/17/2008
10/1/10

My mother's day presents aren't always the most flattering.

And using every holiday and other occasion I can think of as justification for a kissing picture.

I guess for me love is more than feeling, it's an excuse for who I am.

Change in Plans

It started snowing last night as we were putting the boys down for bed. The snow was only on the road at that time but Reagan was still excited. At 5:00 this morning we got a call from the school district informing us that school had been canceled due to the snow. As you can tell by the pictures we had quite a bit of snow. We may need to buy a snow blower like Dallen. Actually it just doesn't take much snow to cause a snow day in Texas.
My first doctor appointment was scheduled for today so we were worried that they would cancel and we would have to wait another 3 weeks to get in. We did receive a call right when the office open but they were just calling everyone so the would know who would be in that day. About an hour later we got another call from the office and they wanted to know if we would be able to come in now so that they wouldn't have to wait around all day for me to go in. Most of the other appointments canceled. I made sure that my friend that was planing on watching the boys was available right then and we left. The roads were a lot worse then we had figured. We decided that it wasn't worth going a few extra miles to drop the boys off and we just took the boys with us. We assumed that the Doctor wouldn't want the boys back there so Abe just planned on waiting in the waiting room with them. The doctor said that there was no problem with the boys coming back. The doctor went into her candy stash and got candy out for the boys then they all got to listen to the baby's heart beat. Reagan was so excited to hear his baby. Then the doctor got out the ultrasound machine and said she would go ahead and do an ultrasound if we wanted because she was appreciative that we were willing to come in early with no notice. It was fun to be able to see the baby. Reagan was really excited about that. Then the doctor printed off some pictures. She gave Reagan his very own picture of the baby first then she gave us the rest of the pictures.

Cold

It was so wonderful outside last week. The highs were in the 70's most of the weeks. It was nice to be able to spend so much time outside and at the park. It was a little strange seeing children in shorts in January but we enjoyed it. The only problem is that it went from being 70 one day and then waking up the next day with the high only 27 with high winds. The wind is blowing so hard that Abe's car alarm kept going off last night. So we are now freezing at our house. I took the boys with me to the grocery store yesterday and Benson starting bawling on the way back to the car because he was so cold. When I told Abe about it he told me it was probably because he only had a jacket on. Of course he only had a jacket on. Our boys don't need coats its not supposed to get cold here. This morning we decided to drink a little hot chocolate to help warm us up. You may find it odd that Reagan is drinking hot chocolate without a shirt on but he kept on spilling on himself so he decided it was better to just drink the hot chocolate shirtless.
