Celebrate Killeen

Today was the Celebrate Killeen Festival. Abram had class today so I took the boys with a friend. They had tons of fun.

Reagan got to go fishing. He was only a little upset that he didn't catch a fish.

The boys enjoyed the petting zoo. Benson enjoyed seeing all the different kinds of "dogs." It took him a few minutes to warm up to the animals.
Once Benson warmed up to the animals he had fun running from animal to animal petting them.

Reagan enjoyed feeding the animals. It startled him when the cow licked him and he chucked the food.
Doesn't this look like a boy having fun. After the petting zoo they got to jump in bounce houses, go for a hayride, and make a bunch of crafts. It was a fun day.

Busy News Day

Today's Idaho Statesman had a difficult decision in what to have as the lead story. There was a major speech given by President Obama about the Deficit, there was a charming local story about two current contestants on The Biggest Loser who are coming to Boise to run the famed Race to Robbie Creek, there was another national story about an airport traffic controller falling asleep on the job, and many other exciting stories. However, after what must have been a drawn out, contentious deliberation the heralded Idaho Statesman decided to go with.....

Yep, the Statesman decided to go with cute and cuddly little Lauren. He're a link - http://www.idahostatesman.com/2011/04/13/1604608_a1604605/the-new-lake-hazel-branch-library.html

Ian, 2 -- Coach Pete, 0

For the second year in a row, Ian beat Coach Pete by just a few seconds. While Ian was racing Pete, I was doing my first triathlon of the year. Riding my bike in 38 degrees and rain was no fun. Then Ian had his first soccer game. It was a very long day.

Texas Sized Fun

I had a fun week with April's family for spring break. These are some of the things that we did. Last year it was Easter while I was there so Reagan thought we should color some eggs and have an Easter egg hunt. We had a nice warm day in the mid eighties and went to the zoo in Waco. We stood next to a glass wall and had a lion roar multiple times. We didn't get a picture because it was a bit too scairy for the boys. I got to know Benson. He was a baby last time we saw him. He is lots of fun and now knows that Grandma is something other than just a picture he sees sometimes on skype. . We played lots of ball. Reagan hit several home runs. Abe was the picture. I was too afraid that Reagan might lit a line drive and knock me down. Abe did get hit a couple of times. Oh, and last but not least on the way to the airport we stopped and bought a little donut. It was good. (I shared!)

haircut

Laurens hair was starting to, uhh, hmmm... how do I put say this in a nice way? Lets just say, it was time to get a cut. Gotta keep these kinds of pictures around for blackmail later on in life.

Before:

Look how long her hair had gotten!

After:

So much better!! She is gonna kill me when she gets old enough to realize I posted that very first picture of her for all of you to see, but I had to do it. It was a little sad to say goodbye to her baby curls, but so worth it in the end. She loves her new hair do, and was hamming it up for the cameras if you can tell.

Sir rolls alot

On March 27, a few days before his 5th month birthday, Max learned a new trick. This was also the same day that Cory left for Chicago for 2 weeks. I think he wanted his Dad to witness it. Max is very thoughtful like that. :) After he did it the first time, it just seemed to click. He has been rolling all over the place! Before long he will be crawling and then I will really be in for some trouble. Enjoy this video of our sir rolls alot. There is a little suprise for you at the end.
