Happy Halloween!!!

Friday night was our family Halloween party. We missed those of you that were not able to make it. We had lots of fun and had some special guests. There was Minnie Mouse.


And Belle. (Claire told us for a couple of weeks that she was going to be a butterfly - but at the last minute she said that her mom decided she was going to be Belle)


Blake was a frog. He actually liked his costume this time around.


One of Santa's special elves showed up.


As did one mad cow.


Mason had the scairiest costume. He did cause Belle to cry just a little bit.

After a pizza dinner we started games. The first one you were suppose to pitch pennies into the little pumpkins. As Mason said, "It was too hard"! Next time we will have to have bigger pumpkins.

For the next game we tied little donuts on a string and tied them to a pole. The object was to eat the donut without using your hands, Blake had a hard time not cheating and using his hands. But he did like the donut.

Jill opened up real wide for this game. Ashleigh just swooped hers up like a great big frog before we even got pictures.

Mason thought this game was much more fun that pitching pennies.

This was a mouse racing game. You had to push your mouse across the kitchen floor with your nose.


Ashleigh and Jill won this game also.

There were a lot of really cool prizes.


It is probably chocolate but Blake sort of looks like he ate his mouse!

Afterwards the parents left and the kids had spooky stories and a sleepover. It was Claire's very first sleepover with friends (cousins) She was so excited she had a hard time getting to sleep.

In the morning we had pancakes. Blake chose a ghost. Notice the scairy blue eyes.

Mason and Claire chose pumpkins. Probably because they held more m& m's.

Claire has discover the wonders of paintshop. Her favorite thing to do now is to draw on pictures. She thinks it's halarious.

Pumpkin Carving

Reagan has been wanting to get a huge pumpkin at the store for a long time now. On Thursday we finally let him get one. He was so excited about the pumpkin he wanted to sit in the back of the cart with the pumpkin. On Saturday we carved the pumpkin together as a family.

Once he stuck his hand in the pumpkin he decided he didn't want to get dirty so he made Abe do the rest of the work.


He did do a great job watching his dad. He was so proud of his pumpkin.


If you ask him he carved the pumpkin all by himself.

Soccer is over

Ian and Mason just had their last soccer games of the season. Mason scored 6 goals (which is about average for the season), and Ian scored 2 goals (he had only scored one goal this season up through this point). The boys are bummed that soccer is over, but Mom and Dad are glad to get their Tuesday and Thursday evenings back.

Ian's team (of which I am the assistant coach) won all of its games this year, except for one, and that is only because the coaches put our two crappiest players in as the defenders in one quarter, and the other team scored all of its goals that quarter. We learned that week that we have to always have at least one good defender.

Guess who is almost potty trained?

Mason is. Blake, on the other hand, is nowhere close. But he sure looks cute in his Thomas the Train unders.

Jonah's Trip to the Hospital

Jonah was admitted to the hospital on thursay...he has an ear infection-but has been having fevers for about 10 days-antibiotics havn't been helping. So the doc took blood and it showed that Jonah's platlette count was 10x higher than normal. The doc was concerned he had Kowasaki's Disease-so off to the hospital we went. This is all the torture that Jonah endured.

We had to help hold him down during the IV placement-at least they took his blood sample from the IV port so they didn't have to poke him twice. He was pretty traumatized.




Jonah tried to play but was hooked up to too many things to go any where. The little baby hospital gown was really cute and kinda sad.




He still managed to find ways to have fun.



In the end his repeat labs came back almost normal and they never found anything wrong with him. He feels fine now.

Recipe Book

We had talked about doing a new family cook book. This summer we had decided that we would get all the recipes together by Halloween. We hadn't talked about it again and that isn't very far away. So I assume that we probably won't have it done by then. Would it work for everyone to get the recipes to me by November 15? That should give me enough time to format and organize them before I come up to Boise in December. It would be easiest for me if they were emailed to reaganlines@clearwire.net
This is an email account that we made but hasn't been used. This way all of the recipe emails will be in one place and I won't have to search through my email to find them.

A special day for a special girl

Today was Claire's special day with grandma. First of all we went to the store and chose the very best pumkin. Claire painted it very carefully and only got a little bit of paint on her shirt (sorry Ashleigh).

Afterwards we made cookies which Claire decorated very nicely. She loves to put on the sprinkles.

Fireman

Reagan thinks he is a fireman. He has been trying to fight fires in our home all day. Here is a picture of him getting ready to fight a fire with his ladder and his hose.



This was a huge fire Reagan had to put out with the hose. He is working as hard as he can to stop the fire.

Blake Needs Help

I think Blake needs some help from his speech therapist Aunt Marie. Blake is going to be embarrassed on his first day of kindergarten when his teach ask everyone to stand up and tell the class their favorite thing, and Blake stands up and yells "I love boobies!!!!"

One Step Closer!!!

I am one step closer to being normal again. I went to the infectious disease doctor yesterday and he said my blood work looks good. It looks like the infection is finally gone. He had his nurse remove my PICC line. That means no more IVs for me. My blood doesn't have to be drawn twice a week anymore. No more weekly visits with the infectious disease doctor. (I will still have other doctor's visits but the number of visits will greatly drop without having to see him.) I no longer have to wear one of Abe's lovely tube socks on my Arm. I also no longer have to shower with a bag over my arm. Like I said life is beginning to be more normal.

We started a tradition when Benson was born to drive up to Temple to visit the Labor and Delivery department every other Sunday. I guess because Papa was in town last Sunday we decided to break that tradition. No hospital visit from us. I bet they were wondering where we were around 8:00 pm. That was the time we normally choose to visit.

A smile

I have been trying to get a picture of Benson' s smile for a couple weeks now. This is as close as I've gotten to a smile.

Benson's Blessing

Benson was blessed at church on Sunday. He was such a good boy. He was wide awake and didn't make a peep the whole time.
