Lauren at 6 months old

Lauren is 6 months old. She has a smile that is contagious! Lauren loves her toes. She discovered them when she was around 4 months old and they haven't gotten old yet. She loves sucking on them. Lauren also sucks her thumb. She hasn't outgrown this yet and her mother doesn't mind one bit. When she is 12 years old then I will worry.


The day she turned 6 months old we discovered that Lauren was teething. She now has her two bottom teeth in. She hasn't bitten me yet, and I am scared for the day she does. I don't know if she ever will though, because she loves her mama. She is a big mamas girl and I LOVE it.

She has learned how to roll over from her back to stomach.


She loves looking at herself in the mirror. She is eating baby food twice a day now and it hasn't gotten any easier. She is the messiest eater. She always grabs the spoon and then cries when I try to take it back. So I decided to giver her a spoon to hold while i feed her with another spoon. This just makes the mess worse and half of her food ends up on her chest.
She is starting to reach for toys she wants and she can even move a tiny bit towards one she wants. I think she will be crawling in another month or two.

She still sleeps really well. She usually goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 7 or 8. When I go in to her room in the mornings she has the biggest smile for me. I tried to get a video of this so you could see but it wasn't quite as good as it normally is. She was distracted by the camera.

Lauren is very interested in Claire. She always looks in Claire's direction when she hears her talking and lately she will randomly start laughing really hard at Claire because Claire is walking up the stairs, or blowing kisses at Lauren. I haven't quite figured out what is so funny about that but Lauren finds it hilarious!


Lauren loves to play with little toys. She thinks they are fun to chew on and likes the ones that make noise.


I am so glad we have Lauren. Her sweet smile makes me so happy and I love waking up each day to see her and Claire. Sometimes I think I am the luckiest mom.
