While the other families were all busy with Halloween I started a new project. This quilt is called "the Ohio Star". When I first looked at
pattern online I thought it might be too easy, I was wrong it was not so easy at all. I am going to make 20 blocks out of twenty different fabrics. No two blocks are suppose to end up the same. There will strips of all the different fabric in between each of the blocks. I am thinking that it will turn out so nice that I am going to keep it for myself. There are 17 different pieces in each of the blocks and with the border pieces there will be over 700 pieces of fabric. Sounds like a lot of fun to me!
Somebody needs to teach me how to write around the pictures. Because I am not very good at it.!
It looks like your blanket will be pretty. Did you at least answer the door for trick or treaters when they came? Or did you just eat the candy in the bowl you had out for them. When I come down in December I will help you learn how to do the post.
ReplyDeletei love the quilt. it is beautiful. i need to follow your example and start deveoping some of my talents, look how good you are.. a couple of years ago you would have thought this quilt was way to hard to make but you did it and on top of that it looks really good!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had patience to learn to do something like that... In college my friends tried to show me how to crochette (i think i just spelled that wrong)...I would always get frustrated and stop.
