Bad parents guide to bedtime

Seeing the video of Reagan putting himself to bed prompted me to post yet another picture showing why Dallen and I occasionally (some days more than others) fail the parent test....

Clearly if we had studied we would have learned to keep our child's arms and legs inside the crib at all times...(I did move him after I took this picture-then this afternoon I bought breathable crib bumpers...but have yet to put them in...)

  1. That is a funny photo. Reagan's feet occasionally hang out to. Never that much though.

To help Reagan sleep through the night we made a bedtime routine for him that was different than naps. For Reagan we lay out a blanket and say our family prayer. Then we turn on his music turn off the lights with only the hallway light shining through. He gets a drink while one of us reads him a story or two and then he goes to sleep. I thought it helped to make night time different so he knew he would have to sleep for a long time.

Are Jonah's naps the same length as his night time sleep? Some one told me a child will sleep a certain amount of time each day. Some use more of it for naps.

  2. Put the bumpers in his bed. We want to keep Jonah around for a lot of years.
