Claire recently (a month ago) had her first day of school. But before she could go to school she had to train, work hard, and pass the "Ready for School Test."
She had to practice raising her had to ask a question.
Walk on the slanted part of the curb (what is one of my earliest memory).
Run without stepping on a crack and breaking her mothers back.
And summersulting across the front lawn.
She passed the test.
In the morning her mom got here hair ready.
And then her and Lauren were off to school. I love how Lauren was insistent on wearing her backpack. The first one that she found in the closet that morning.
This is her right before she went into school and left her early childhood behind. :(
And her momma knew it...
Claire was happy to get home and find a surprise.
Pretty nice, huh?
I remember my mom giving me a special treat on my first day of school. Only instead of being a giant cookie, it was 1/2 of a syrup sandwich!

ReplyDeleteHey John...at least your mother didn't break your leg as prize for starting school...I'm pretty sure Jonah can hold that over me for as long as I live!
There should be limitations on syrup sandwiches. But not on murder or an extra pair of underwear when you've got the runs. :)

Marie, Benson gets pushed all the time when he is doing something to Brynlee that will hurt her. You just had bad luck.
