Here are some pictures from the Fourth of July fun run in Melba. Everyone but April got a ribbon. However, she did run very fast and she said she would have been faster but when everyone else started she realized that she forgot to tie her shoes. John got second in his age group in the six mile race. Abe got FIRST in the two mile race. Ian got second in the under 10 year old category and was very happy to get a ribbon. Both Ian and John got prizes in the raffle afterwards also. There was a man running right behind Ian and Ian was running his fastest not to get passed up right at the end. The fellow was very nice and let Ian come in before him.
good job guys!!
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of things I love about this Melba race. It's not very competitive (as evidenced by the guy who let Ian pass him, who was both very nice was racing in his hiking boots), so many of us end up with ribbons. Also, they give out tons of prizes so a few of us are bound to win something. The parade is fun as well. Finally, it is a very cheap race, and the shirts were not nearly as ugly this year as last.
