This year I didn't make a New Years Resolution. A couple months ago I decided to set a goal for myself anyways. I decided I would run a 5K. Which may not seem like a huge goal to many people but it was for me. I've never been much of a runner. I think I have only ran a mile a few times in my life and that was in PE. There is a race series here called the Centex Race series. They do a couple races a month in central Texas. Most of the races are 5k and they have a couple 10K. Today was the first race. I was a little worried last night when a huge storm blew in but the weather ended up being great. I talked a couple of my friends into running with me. I think I did pretty well. I'm not quite sure how fast I ran the times aren't posted yet. I didn't win any medals but Reagan was pretty proud of me. He is determined that I was the winner and everyone else was a looser. I'll just let him continue thinking that.
Congratulations! Is that little thing hanging off of your hip your race number?
ReplyDeleteYes, that is my race number. I thought it was weird that I didn't get a big one to wear.
ReplyDeleteApril, we are very proud of you. I never, ever ran a race. Reagan is right -- you are the winner!
ReplyDeleteGood job April. It's good to have somebody else bragging about their races since Dallen never does. Let us know what time you got.
ReplyDeleteGood job.
ReplyDeleteHey, a 5k is a great accomplishment. I have a hard time running a 5k. Hopefully I will be able to do a few races soon too. Good job. Jill
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I don't think this race is going to post the times. I was wanting to see my time so I could know how I improve over the year. The next race will be on May 8th. Abe is running this one too. The next one post times.
