Ashleigh and I went to San Diego last week. It was a lot of fun. Mom and Jill watched the kids while we were gone, which was very nice. It was the first time we have Claire and Lauren.

I checked, the flowers smell the same there as they do here.
We got to San Diego a little bit before check in at the hotel so we decided to get lunch. We went to Old towne. E added for emphasis. It's like Tia Juana, but in America....only you can't buy illegal prescription drugs and you don't get stabbed.
This picture is Ashleigh eating at a cool authentic mexican restuarant.

She really liked it.

You can't tell, but behind me is the coin operated machine that turned boy Tom Hanks into a man in that one movie. As you can see, I tried squating but I guess I was a litte too Big for the picture.

We staying in the Holiday Inn Bayside. We got a pretty good deal on priceline. This pirate ship was right outside our window. According the plaque on it, it the olding ship of it's kind that still floats.

Apart from the sun burns we had a lot of fun on the beaches.

Ashleigh and I would go out real deep and play on the waves. It was extra fun because we brought our goggles. I saw some fish. Fun but scary.
Oh yeah, I got attacked by some thing we I was out there.

After we went swimming, we stopped by a yougurt shop. It was the kind where you pay by the ounce. The give you a big tub. I filled mine up about half way. Ashleigh didn't realize, so she filled her tub over the rim. And to make sure she'd get her moneys worth, she packed in extra tight to make sure there wasin't any air holes. The picture doesn't do justice because we'd widdled it down quite a bit before we took a picture of her $7 yougurt.

We went to my friend Ron's wedding and reception. It was fun. They were very happy and make a great couple. You can't see him in the picture, but i think that might be his sister's head over the shoulder of the guy over my shoulder.

Then we meet up with my other friend Jarold. We went to Huntington Beach. It was great to see him. People might move, but Creekers never move on.

It was a great 5 year anniversary trip. I'm as in love as I've ever been.
In the end we were happy to get home and see the kids.

  1. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. I'm glad you got to have a get away. I am also glad you came back! I think it is good that the giant seaweed creature got on you and not Ashleigh's cute new swimming suit.
