Oregon Coast Trip
So our family is on vacation at Jill's sister's house in Portland, Oregon. We decided to head over to the Oregon Coast for a day. It turned out to be a pretty cold day. Probably 40 degrees out, and rainy, so we're all hanging out in our coats. John sees some cool looking rocks out in the ocean, and makes a run for them when the waves pull back. He then yells for the boys (Ian and his cousins) to come join him on the rocks. They are a little concerned, but John says "come on guys it will be fine, just stand on that rock and let us take some pictures of you . . . those waves aren't very big . . ."

Finished Projects
It has taken a while but I finally finished a couple of projects during my spring break. It was too cold, windy & rainy to do too much fun but I did finish getting all of the rocks out of the front spot where the roses were. Now I am waiting for Ben to roto till it up and add some better soil. Then I am going to plant a mass of flowers. The goal is to have better flowers than John. I also finished my quilt that I have been working on since last fall. It is so good that I am not giving it away. It is mine!!!!!
Ben chose not to post pictures from his spring break, he had a colonoscopy.

Fun at the zoo
Abram is on Spring Break right now. We decided that we should do something fun this week to celebrate. We hadn't been to the zoo down here yet. Since the weather has been so nice this week we thought this would be the perfect chance. We have been telling Reagan all week that we were going to go. So when we got there he was more than just a little excited. He ran to each of the exhibits. The animals that Reagan was most excited to see were the elephants, giraffes, monkeys, tigers and the lions. We had a difficult time convincing Reagan it was time to move on to the the next animal a few times. I would tell him to say bye to the animal and he would tell me "NO, I see it!" When we were watching the lions another little boy announced that he saw the lions. Reagan turned to the boy and said "No, Daddy lion, Momma lion Baby lion." He also wanted to make sure that everyone around him knew what sounds the animals made. We had an enjoyable time at the zoo today. Now we just have to think of fun things to do during the rest of the week.

The way a two year old thinks
Yesterday afternoon we were all laying down on the sofa together. Reagan decided this was the perfect opportunity to start naming all his parents body parts. He says "head, hair, eyes, nose, ear, mouth, teeth, tongue, chin and cheek," as he touches each of the body parts. He then starts to go down to show us our neck and shoulders. I decided to stop him so I could teach him a body part he forgot to say. I then touched Reagan's forehead and said "this is Reagan's forehead." He looked at me like I was weird. Then he touched his forehead and says "two head." I tried to explain to Reagan what he was pointing to was actually called a forehead. He would not believe me. I finally decided it would be best to just drop the subject. Reagan is very proud that he knows a new body part. He continues to go around the house pointing and saying "two head."

Monster Truck Show
Last night John took Ian and Mason to the Monster Truck Show. Ian and Mason's favorite parts were (1) when one of the truck's wheels fell off; (2) the halftime show of motorcycle jumpers, especially the guy that went no hands and no feet; and (3) when Ian accidentally sat down in the nacho cheese sauce and got cheeze all over his bum.

Fun Weekend
I wanted to find something fun for Reagan and me to do this weekend since Abram was gone to a track meet. I noticed that one of the movie theaters near us was doing free movies all weekend. So Reagan got to go to his first movie in a movie theater. We watched Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I think the normal charge for tickets is $4. You could get a couch for you family to sit on for $15. The fun part about the theater is you don't buy treats in the lobby. They have waiters come to you to take your orders. All the waiters dress up in costume. While we were there we saw superman, snow white, a cave man and a few princesses. There is a high bench in front of each row of seats for you to place your treats on. We thought it fun. I took a couple pictures of what Reagan enjoyed most about the movie.
Reagan was really excited before the movie started and was talking very loudly to anyone that he thought may be looking at him. I told him before the movie started that he would have to sit quietly in his seat when the movie started. He did a great job! There was only a couple times that Reagan laughed a little too loud at parts of the movie that weren't too funny. During the movie there was a few children sitting behind us that were getting a little restless. So Reagan shouted "Shhhhh!" He then turned to me and said "They not listening."
He loved the popcorn!
He also loved having a drink with a straw. Too bad he put a whole in the straw before the movie started. It made it a little difficult to get a drink.

Another Runner
This evening we were sitting around visiting and I asked Reagan if he wanted to have a race with his dad. Abram turned to me and said, "Reagan doesn't know what a race is." Reagan then grabbed Abe's hand and said "come." Reagan then made Abe run races for the next half hour. Reagan proved to his dad that he knew exactly what a race was. Abe asked me why I taught him what a race was. I assured Abe that he learned what a race was on his own. He made me do it for an hour last night. I guess I know what are family is going to be doing for fun now.

A Claire Bear Day
For Claire's birthday she got to go to "Build a Bear" with grandma. Here is what she did: First she had to choose the animal she wanted. She choose the pink bear.
Then she got to stuff the bear, she thought that was a lot of fun.
Then she had to wash the bear and fluff it, she was really good at this. After that she got to choose a little outfit. She really liked this part. She wanted lots of clothes and accessories. Grandma had to limit her to a shirt and pants. Could you believe grandma had to tell Claire "No" when she wanted her bear to have a purse!
Now she is filling out the birth certificate. Her bear's name is Princess.
Claire said she liked hanging out at the mall with grandma.
