Ian had his first soccer game yesterday. His team won the game about 16 to 3. There are 7 kids on Ian's team. Ian scored about 8 goals, one other kid (David) scored about 8 goals, and the other boys just kindof ran around and watched Ian and the other kid. Ian's 8 goals give him about 3 more goals than I scored in my 6 year soccer career, and about 8 goals more than Dallen ever scored. At the end of the game, Ian said to me: "I thought David was going to be the best soccer player on our team, but I guess not."

Good job, Ian! But for the record, Dallen did score one goal. As I remember, it bounced off his shoe.
ReplyDeleteI actually scores three goals. As mom said, one was a deflection off of me, one I kicked at as it was going in anyway, and one goal was legitimate. The real goal did put us ahead in the last game of our undefeated season.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately out beloved coach mom once put me in as goalie for one quarter and they scored 6 goals on me. Thus, in about 10 minutes I doubly outweighed all of the good of 6 years in just 15 minutes.
Good job Ian. I scored one goal in all the years I played soccer.
